After her solo album flopped, Girls Aloud‘s Nadine Coyle has decided to turn herself into a country singer, we read. Despite her album’s poor sales, a “source” has said Coyle has no intention of giving up and thinks she’ll do better in the US. “Nadine is refusing to give up on her dream,” the well-placed individual explained. “She reckons she’ll have more chances in the States, where talent and singing ability count. Her life’s in America now and she’d happily never return to the UK after such a hostile reception” (Daily Record).

P Diddy has taken to Twitter to apologise to a mystery ladyfriend. The rapper posted a link to a track from his new album ‘Last Train To Paris’ alongside the message: “I love you baby… I know I fucked up, please listen to this and call me. I’m sorry.” Makes a change from his usual tweets, which all read like motivational posters (Twitter.com/iamdiddy).

Simon Cowell has apparently branded Paul Weller a has-been. Cowell‘s comments come after Weller described the The X Factor as “mediocre”. Cowell also said he would put the singer on the show if “he put out a good record” (The Sun).

Eric Clapton is selling over 150 items of memorabilia to raise money for his rehab clinic. The items will be sold at auction next February, with Jeff Beck and JJ Cale also donating to the sale (Daily Record).

Pete Tong is set to become a country gent, we read. He’s moving to the Cotswolds after branding London “too nosy” (The Sun).
