Plus Kylie's cafe trouble, Noel's favourite Girl Aloud, Katy Perry's wedding wish - your daily music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Lady Gaga is skint, claiming she’s spent all the money she’s earned so far. “I’ve gone bankrupt about four times now, my manager wants to shoot me,” she tells Gordon Smart. “Every dollar I earn goes on the show. Now we’re finally getting to a place where it’s not bankruptcy. Then again with another tour coming up soon, I’ll probably be homeless again.” The singer also discussed her love life, explaining that while she’s currently single, she is not going without. “I just sleep with the guys in the band all the time because it’s easier,” she explains.
From the papers:
Kylie Minogue has offered to help find staff for a restaurant owned by her boyfriend’s father. Apparently the singer has the time to help “narrow down the applicants” at Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava, which is owned by Andres Hernandez‘ dad. Unfortunately there could be too many cooks in the kitchen, as sources say her help is not appreciated. “It’s a family business and there are concerns she’s stepping on a few toes,” they wail. “On top of this, her interview technique is not exactly thorough – are lot of the applicants are simply coming to stare at their idol”. What’s a millionaire pop star to do? (Daily Mirror).
Katy Perry, who plays T In The Park this weekend (July 11), says she wants to get married within “the next five years”. “I want someone to tell the details to – that I had dinner with Paul McCartney or that I met Madonna,” she explains (Daily Star).
Alesha Dixon has joined the judging panel of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ for the next series of the BBC show. She is replacing Arlene Phillips, apparently sparking an ageism row within the corporation (Various).
