Ronaldo, Eminem, Carl Barat – your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Mark Ronson got a Beth Ditto-shaped surprise during his DJ-set for Teenage Cancer Trust affiliate scheme Trekstock at Camden‘s Proud Galleries last night (May 13).

While the producer was on the decks, Gossip singer Ditto was wrapping herself around the venue’s strip club-style poles – much to the delight of a gaggle of starstruck fans. Also watching keenly was Klaxons drummer Stefan Halperin and actor/comic Mat Horne. During his set, Ronson scratched his way through tunes by The Strokes, Jay-Z, Lily Allen, Sly And The Family Stone, MF Doom and Althea & Donna.

From the papers:

Eminem‘s friends say he’s completely given up fast food, along with booze and drugs (Daily Mirror).

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his favourite songs. The Manchester United said his “favourite song in the world” is R Kelly‘s ‘I Believe I Can Fly’. Other artists on the midfielder’s iPod include Ricky Martin and – to get himself pumped up before matches – The Prodigy (The Sun).

Amy Winehouse‘s dad Mitch has washed his hands of her, saying that although she’s given up drugs, the singer is now drinking heavily. “I’ve decided to distance myself and whatever happens, happens,” he said (Metro).

Robbie Williams‘ new album is “excellent” according to darts player Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, who was played it when he visited the singer’s LA home recently (The Sun).

Lady Gaga said popstars who lip-sync at gigs are “fucked up” (Metro).

From NME.COM users:

Carl Barat DJ-ed at the Loaded party at London‘s Bloomesbury Bowling Alley. He played tunes including Babyshambles‘Killamangiro’ plus Libertines songs. Tim Westwood was also at the bash (from Niels).
