Kings Of Leon, Blur, Mark Ronson, Robbie Williams – your music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Phil Spector isn’t taking to prison life very well. The producer – who was jailed last Friday (May 29) for 19 years for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson – has apparently had his collection of bizarre wigs confiscated by prison staff in his California jail. He’s asked for a hat to wear in their place.
A well-placed anonymous source said: “Prison is a living hell for Spector. He is finding it difficult to cope.” (Daily Star).
From the papers:
Blur‘s Alex James and Lily Allen have become models for the National Portrait Gallery. Both appear on posters in the Take Another Look campaign, highlighting famous people’s life changes (Daily Mirror).
E-mailed in from NME.COM users:
Pete Doherty helped launch the Shine club-night at London‘s The Den and Centro venue by playing an acoustic set there – but his microphone wasn’t working so it was even more acoustic than normal (from Steve).
