Members of boyband DAMAGE, LEE LATCHFORD-EVANS from STEPS, NAIMA BELKHIATI from HONEYZ, R&B guru TREVOR NELSON and a number of UK soap opera stars attended the premiere of ‘SAVE THE LAST DANCE’ in LONDON last night (March 20).
Also in attendance at the Coronet Cinema in Notting Hill were the film’s stars, the rising rapper Fredo Starr, Sean Patrick Thomas and Julia Stiles.
Described as a hip hop ballet, the film charts the inter-racial relationship between Thomas and Stiles set against Chicago’s club-scene. It has met with lukewarm reviews in the US, where it opened in January.
Following the premiere, Nelson performed a DJ set, while Starr entertained the guests with a PA set at an aftershow at the London Subterania.
The film will be released in the UK on March 30.
