Damien Rice has released a new song, ‘The Greatest Bastard’. Listen to it below.

As reported by Consequence of Sound, the track becomes the latest to be unveiled ahead of the singer-songwriter’s upcoming album ‘My Favourite Faded Fantasy’.

Rice also posted a short video of him performing ‘The Greatest Bastard’ on his Facebook page.

Both ‘I Don’t Want to Change You’ and the album’s title track were released last month. Produced by Rick Rubin, ‘My Favourite Faded Fantasy’ – due out on November 11 – marks a return to studio recording for Rice after an eight-year hiatus.

“Sometimes you have to step away from what you love in order to learn how to love it again,” Rice previously commented in a statement. “For some reason I just had a feeling that I would feel comfortable being open and being me and being vulnerable with Rick.”

‘It Takes A Lot To Know A Man’
