Elena Tonra and co to follow 2013 debut with second LP in January 2016

Daughter have announced details of their second album release.

The British band – fronted by singer Elena Tonra – released their acclaimed debut ‘If You Leave’ in 2013.

They will now follow the LP with ‘Not To Disappear’, which will be released via 4AD on January 15, 2016.

According to a press release, the LP “finds the band making confident strides forward both sonically and lyrically”.

Lead track ‘Doing The Right Thing’ has been unveiled ahead of the album’s release. Watch the video for it below, directed by Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard (filmmakers of the Nick Cave film 20,000 Days on Earth).

The press release says of the song, “‘Doing The Right Thing’ concerns the delicate subject of dementia and its debilitating, all-pervading effect on family.”
