The technology loving star's London gig will be beamed to cinemas around the world....

David Bowie has announced details of his most ambitious show yet, broadcasting a live London concert to cinemas across the world on September 8.

The show will be beamed in live to cinemas in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Brighton. Another 16 cinemas across Italy, France, Poland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Denmark – where David Bowie‘s world tour begins in Copenhagen on October 7 – will also receive the broadcast as it happens.

Due to time differences, fans in Australia and Asia will see the show the next day, while fans in America and Canada will be able to watch the gig on September 15.

The 90-minute broadcast coincides with the release of David Bowie‘s latest album ‘Reality’, out September 15. Fans will be given the opportunity to make requests during the show, and will also be able to interact with the ‘Ziggy Stardust’ star via a virtual Q&A afterwards.

Tickets for the UK cinema shows went on sale at 9am (GMT) today. Tickets are available from the venues or via ODEON on 0870 50 50 007.
