David Bowie, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS and Travis are to headline this year’s GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL, nme.com can reveal.

Pearl Jam are also widely tipped to be playing the event, which takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, on June 23, 24 and 25, though our festival insider said they had not yet confirmed.

According to our insider, The Chemical Brothers headline on the Friday night, with Travis in the top spot on Saturday and Bowie closing proceeding on the Sunday.

However, it’s been confirmed that Radiohead will not play the festival, despite continued speculation.

Further acts are expected to be confirmed over the next few weeks. Keep checking nme.com for updates.

Elsewhere, Oasis headline the Reading/Leeds Carling Weekend 2000 and the as yet un-named new Scottish festival, which takes place at Glasgow Green, which all take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, as exclusively announced on nme.com.

Bills for T In The Park and V2000 have yet to be revealed.
