THE DEFTONES are to host an Internet ‘House Party’ to launch their new album ‘WHITE PONY’, nme.com can reveal.
The album is released on June 19 through Maverick/Warners. To coincide with the release, on June 1 the band will be broadcasting their own house party over the Internet via their official website, [url=]www.deftones.com.
At the party, which will be held at a secret location with 250 Deftones fans, the band are “99% certain” to be playing material from their new album live, as well as premiering a new five-minute film they have made.
From 7pm PST on June 1 (3am BST, June 2) on [url=]www.deftones.com, there will be a link to the house party and fans will be able watch and interact with fans and the band via a series of chat rooms. All the live footage of the party will be archived, and repeated on the site at a later date.
The Deftones have also announced a one-off London show at the Brixton Academy on June 6. Tickets are priced #12.50.
