Disclosure announce new single ‘Omen’ featuring Sam Smith

Electronic duo reunite with their 'Latch' collaborator for the second single from their forthcoming album

Disclosure have announced that their next single will be a collaboration with Sam Smith.

Titled ‘Omen’, the track will be the second single from the duo’s forthcoming album ‘Caracal’, which is set for release on September 25. Disclosure broke the news on Twitter earlier this evening (July 9), also sharing the single’s cover art.

In a subsequent tweet, the house duo added: “We are sooo excited for you to hear the track. UK, you can pre-order now http://po.st/Omen2 More news next week!”

‘Omen’ will follow on from the album’s lead single, ‘Holding On’, which features jazz singer Gregory Porter. The band recently told NME that “big names” will feature on their new album – and have since confirmed that one of them is Lorde.

The duo – brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence – had previously confirmed that Sam Smith would appear on their new album too, but did not specify that their collaboration with the soul singer would be its second single. Disclosure previously teamed up with Smith for ‘Latch’, the lead single from their debut album ‘Settle’. It peaked at Number 11 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart in late 2012 and climbed to Number 7 in the US over 18 months later after becoming a sleeper hit there.
