Disclosure deny involvement in Band Aid 30 remix

'No planned remix or involvement of any kind unfortunately,' said a spokesperson for the duo

Disclosure have denied reports that they will be remixing the Band Aid 30 single.

Bob Geldof previously claimed that the dance duo would be remixing ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ for its physical release next month, but a spokesperson for the act has now denied any such involvement.

Pitchfork writes that a representative for the duo said: “No planned remix or involvement of any kind unfortunately.” This follows a spokesperson for Adele having to deny Bob Geldof’s claim that the singer ignored an invitation to participate in Band Aid 30.

Prior to the recording of the charity single on Saturday, Geldof said that he had attempted to contact the singer and spoken to her manager about participating but that she was refusing to answer her phone. However, a representative for the singer has denied that this was the case and confirmed that while Adele did not turn up to record the single, she made a donation to the charity. Another incident with Foals saw the band listed as being one of the acts participating before revealing to NME that they were actually unavailable on the date.

Band Aid 30 was recorded in London on Saturday and the track was revealed on Sunday. Among those who joined in the new session for the track, the original of which was recorded in 1984, were Bono, Paloma Faith, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, One Direction, Bastille and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
