Rapper tells NME he's not going to complain though
Dizzee Rascal said he was surprised to win the Best Dancefloor Filler award at last night’s (February 25) Shockwaves NME Awards – because he didn’t even realise he was nominated in the category.
In an exclusive video which you can watch below, the rapper revealed he originally thought he was just going to present the award for Best Track at the ceremony.
“I didn’t even come here expecting to win,” he laughed. “If I’m honest I didn’t even know I was up for nomination either! I just kind of came because I knew I was giving out an award!”
