DMX gig causes ‘mini-riot’

'School' concert sparks trouble

A DMX gig on Saturday (September 30) descended into a “mini-riot” after the rapper experienced technical problems with his microphone.

During the Back To School Jam at The Nassau Coliseum DMX‘s microphone was cut halfway through ’Touch It’.

The rapper then jumped into the pit only to reemerge on stage with members of his entourage.

Audience members then began throwing bottles and food at members of DMX’s entourage which they, in turn, threw back into the crowd.

A mini riot was said to have broken out between audience and DMX’s entourage.

According to Billboard a female audience member suffered a laceration to the head. She said her was struck in the head by a chair thrown from the stage. Police are investigating the incident as an assault.

Police forcibly ended the concert, cancelling a headlining performance by Dipset’s Jim Jones.
