Organisers listen to suggestions on online forums
Download Festival organisers are listening to their fans to try and make this year’s event better.
Live Nation have announced improvements, including better toilet and food facilities and putting the campsites closer to the stages, after reading suggestions from fans on online forums, reports BBC News.
Andy Copping, Vice-President Of Music at organisers Live Nation, said: “You can’t just find a bit of grass, put up a stage, put bands on and expect people to turn up. They expect far more these days, if they’re going be spending £100 a ticket, you’ve got to offer them a really good deal.”
The organisers also confirmed that the event on June 12-14 will stay at Donington Park after discussions with fans about work on the site for the British Grand Prix, which is to be held there in 2010.
Copping explained: “We were talking to them about the way that the site is laid out because of the slight changes brought about by the Grand Prix.”
Live Nation will also be creating a disabled camping ground similar to the one at the 2008 event after good feedback on the forums.
