Dr Dre reveals new album details

Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z lend a hand

Dr Dre has revealed the details of his long-awaited forthcoming album ‘Detox’.

The California rapper has recruited the likes of Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes for the follow-up to his 1999 album ‘2001’.

“I’m trying to get everybody that I’ve ever worked with over the years to appear on the record,” Dr Dre told Los Angeles radio station Power 106.

The rapper confirmed that he intends to release the album later this year.

“Trust me, this will be worth the wait – I’m trying to make this the one they remember me for,” he said.

“It’s a lot of pressure but I’m feeling good about it. I feel like I’m my worst critic and if I’m loving it, everyone else will. I’m trying to put 12, 13 songs on the album. I’m not totally sure about the month but it will be definitely be out this year.”
