Rapper's new album features Jay Z and is due for release later this month
Drake has revealed the tracklist to his new album, ‘Nothing Was The Same’.
The album features 13 tracks and will include the singles ‘Started From The Bottom’ and ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’. Elsewhere on the album are tracks including ‘Wu-Tang Forever’, ‘Tuscan Leather’ and ‘Pound Cake’ featuring Jay Z. A deluxe edition of ‘Nothing Was The Same’ will include two extra tracks, titled ‘Come Thru’ and ‘All Me’.
Drake recently claimed that he is currently sleeping on the floor of his recording studio to make sure he completes the album in time for its release on September 24 – which means he has to hand over the master tapes to his record label by September 9. At present, Drake is holed up at Metalworks Studios in the Toronto suburbs with his usual engineer-producer Noah “40” Shebib.
In addition to Noah “40” Shebib, the album will feature production from Scottish DJ Hudson Mohawke, Hit-Boy, Boi-1da and Detail. Drake has recently revealed that the album will feature a cameo from his father Dennis Graham as well as guest appearances from Jay Z, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and James Blake.
Explaining how his collaboration with Drake came about, Blake recently said: “I saw him at a show and told him I had some ideas knocking around, and he invited me to Toronto. Anything that comes out of that studio, I’m happy to be involved.”
