Drake has revealed that Stevie Wonder will feature on his second album ‘Take Care’, which is due for release in October.
The rapper confirmed Wonder had recorded parts for ‘Take Care’ after he performed with the soul legend at the October’s Very Own Festival on Sunday (July 31) in Toronto, where Wonder had played a surprise set. Speaking to Billboard after the show, Drake said:
Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine. I’m honored to call him a friend, someone who embraced me very early in this music business. He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience.
Other guest contributors to ‘Take Care’ are thought to include Florence And The Machine‘s Florence Welch, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Jamie XX. It is released in the US on October 24.
