Rapper reveals that he's been working on new music

Drake has revealed that he has been working on new music, recording “six, maybe seven new songs”.

The rapper made the revelation at the end of his show in Tacoma, Washington on Friday (September 16). He thanked the crowd, then announced that he had been recording new music.

“I been on this tour and I’ve been recording new music. I’m about like maybe six or seven new songs in. Just getting warmed up,” he began.

“I don’t know where they’re going to end up or what it’s going to be, but I can’t wait to come back to motherfucking Tacoma and play all that shit for you.”

Meanwhile, Kanye West recently confirmed that he and Drake are making a joint album, five years after West and Jay Z’s joint album ‘Watch The Throne’.

Their collaboration follows West and Jay Z appearing as The Throne on ‘Pop Style’ on ‘Views’, with Drake returning the favour by co-writing ’30 Hours’ on West’s album ‘The Life Of Pablo’.

Kid Cudi recently said that “the fakes one won’t be lasting much longer” in a Twitter rant that specifically called out Kanye West and Drake, saying that they “don’t give a fuck about me.”

The Cleveland rapper and songwriter launched a stinging attack on his “haters in the industry” in a series of tweets earlier this month (September 6), which went on to reference West and Drake. Cudi has worked extensively with the former in the past, last appearing on West’s ‘Father Stretch My Hands’ off February’s ‘The Life of Pablo’.
