The band played London's Dome venue last night (February 12)
Drenge aired a number of songs from their forthcoming new album ‘Undertow’ at their NME Awards Show with Austin, Texas at Tufnell Park’s Dome last night (February 12).
The Sheffield based band, who are now joined by bass player Rob Graham – formerly of Wet Nuns – ripped through an intense 13-song set, which included ‘Running Wild’, ‘Never Awake’ and ‘The Snake’ from their second album, as well as its first single, ‘We Can Do What We Want’, which you can hear below. The follow-up to 2013’s ‘Drenge’ was produced by Ross Orton and is set for release on April 6.
Racing through their first London gig since August of last year, when they played an intimate show at the Shacklewell Arms, brothers Eoin and Rory Loveless declined to talk to the crowd during the evening. However, activity in the audience was hectic from start to finish, with a relentless beer-flinging mosh and circle pit which saw the front of the crowd seated for the finale of ‘Let’s Pretend’ before jumping up for the drop. Scroll down for a full setlist, which also featured ‘Backwaters’ and ‘Bloodsports’ from their debut.
Drenge will be touring the UK in April, following their sold out NME Awards gig. The band will play nine dates, starting at Nottingham Rescue Rooms and finishing up at London’s Electric Ballroom on April 21.
