They'll play nine career-spanning shows

Duran Duran have announced that they will play an unprecedented nine shows on Broadway to celebrate the release of their forthcoming album, ‘Red Carpet Massacre’, which is due out November 12 in Europe and the UK and a day later in the US, as previously reported.

The band, which features original members Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor, intend to play the new album in its entirety, as well as classics such as ‘Rio’, ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’ and ‘Ordinary World’, during their Broadway stint.

“We’ve always wanted to do something like this, and the timing seemed right,” frontman LeBon told NME.COM.

The band will perform at New York’s Barrymore Theatre November 1- 3, 5-6, 8-10 and 12.

Tickets are set to go on sale October 6 through Telecharge.
