"Experts will study this and say that you’re, like… peacocking right now."
In the clip, which was posted to Swift’s Instagram, she jokingly chides the star for sitting closer to the camera than him – giving the impression that he’s much taller.
“I just want to start by saying that this is what he does, he tries to elevate himself geographically so he can seem better than me,” Swift jokes.
Ed concurrently replies: “Totally”.
Taylor then adds: “Experts will study this and say that you’re, like… peacocking right now.”
The term was first coined in 2005 and refers to men who take up bold poses in a bid to attract female attention.
Ed wasn’t too willing to take the phrase lying down though, and immediately fired back: “It’s only because you wear f—ing heels all the time!”
The humorous exchange comes as part of Sheeran and Swift’s long friendship – which has seen them collaborating on tracks including ‘End Game’.
They’re also set to share a festival stage in the UK later this summer too, after both were announced for the Swansea leg of Radio 1’s ‘Biggest Weekend’.
“So excited to be part of The Biggest Weekend this summer,” said Ed Sheeran of the festival.
“I’ve always loved performing at Big Weekend with Radio 1 and this year it’s going to be even bigger. Bring it on Swansea!”
