Mark Everett to put out collection of stripped-down recordings in January
Eels are to release a new album on January 18.
The record, ‘End Times’, follows hot on the heels of ‘Hombre Lobo’, which was released in June.
The new record features 14 “largely self-recorded” tracks made by Eels frontman E, real name Mark Oliver Everett, in his basement studio at his Los Angeles home.
The six-month gap between ‘Hombre Lobo’ and ‘End Times’ is the shortest ever gap between Eels albums. It’s in marked contrast to the four-year break between the former album and ‘Blinking Lights And Other Revelations’.
