EELS FIND UK FORUM

The band follow up their appearances at the Carling Weekend with an appearance at Kentish Town Forum...

EELS have confirmed a one-off show at the LONDON FORUM on August 28.

The band, who have previously announced their intention to appear at the Carling Weekend Festivals in Reading and Leeds the weekend before (August 24-26), are likely to be joined by PJ Harvey guitarist John Parish, who has been writing material with the band. Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on July 7.

Eels have spent the first part of this year working on the follow-up to last year’s ‘Daisies Of The Galaxy’ record. Speaking recently, mainman E said that the band hope to release the as-yet-untitled album by September.

He said: “We are all hoping that the new Eels record will come out by September, but have no release date as of yet, so I’m not sure what to say about it right now. You could say we’re working on it I guess.”

Speaking about the festival dates, E joked: “In a show of good faith, we are reaching out with hands across the water. There are English bands and there are American bands. With a funky Englishman named John Parish in the band, we have become the world’s band. We are the world. And the world rocks.”
