The group were also joined by a string section for set closer ‘One Day Like This’, with frontman Garvey commenting: “I haven’t even met some of them!”
Garvey also commented on the controversy surrounding tonight’s Pyramid Stage headliner Jay-Z, saying: “The Eavis family have thrown the best party for decades, so I think they know what they’re doing.”
He also told the crowd before playing ‘Leaders Of The Free World’: “You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
