THE BETA BLOCKER BAND!

Singer Danny McNamara claims the band have arrived at "an exciting new place"...

EMBRACE have completed recording their third studio album, with vocalist DANNY McNAMARA claiming the band have arrived at “an exciting new place”.

Speaking on his regular studio diary on the official Embrace website www.embrace.co.uk, McNamara revealed recording was completed earlier in the week (May 1). The band now plan to mix the new tracks, so the album can be released in time for the summer.

McNamara said: “I’m elated, and tired and my heart is splashing in my chest. Time for a beta-blocker and a hot drink. I don’t want to say anything else in this emotional state that I might regret tomorrow when I wake up.

“But this band really feels like it’s starting to bloom. We’ve taken the heights of the first LP through the organic scope of the second LP and arrived at an exiting new place that doesn’t sound like the band that made either.”

Describing new track ‘Wonder’ as an “anthem”, he said the band will now take five days rest to work out the running order of the album.

The as-yet-untitled album is due for release later in the summer, and Embrace have already confirmed performances at the V2001 and Glasgow Green festivals.
