EMBRACE look likely to appear at both the V2001 and the GLASGOW GREEN festivals this coming summer.
Speaking on the official Embrace website, [url=]www.embrace.co.uk, singer Danny McNamara said that the band had been asked to be “special guests” at the forthcoming V festivals over the weekend of August 18-19, as well as making a headline appearance at the forthcoming Carling Festival in Glasgow Green the weekend after.
He said: “I think that given the LP is going so well that we should do these concerts. We always prefer playing inside to outside unless it’s dark. I just never feel that music works in stadiums. Last year getting Damon (Gough) onstage to sing ‘One Big Family’ with us (at the Reading Festival) was a bit of a moment, and completely unplanned. I don’t normally go for that sort of thing but who knows what might happen this year.”
The band continue to work on their forthcoming third studio album. McNamara said work on eight new tracks is now complete. He added: “We are on something of a roll at the moment!”
