EMBRACE GET LOST IN MUSIC

The Music will have a guest DJ spot from Richard McNamara at their forthcoming Leeds gig...

EMBRACE are helping THE MUSIC, an unsigned teenage band from LEEDS, by DJing at one of their first ever headline shows.

The Music are confirmed to play at the Rocket in Leeds on February 15. The band, who are all only 17 years old, will be supported by a DJ set from Embrace guitarist Richard McNamara.

The Music are one of the most heavily tipped bands in 2001, with two of their songs, ‘Take The Long Road And Walk It’ and ‘The Walls Get Smaller’ featuring in the Turn Ons section of this week’s NME.

Embrace are currently writing and recording their third studio album with Coldplay producer Ken Nelson. Speaking to NME.COM about the record, singer Danny McNamara described the material as “cinematic and three-dimensional”. New song titles include ‘It’s Over’, ‘It’s Going To Take Time’, ‘Blackwater’, ‘Fear Fighter’, ‘Happiness Will Get You In The End’ and ‘Effortless Now’. The as-yet-untitled album is expected in the summer.
