The rapper is rumoured to be starring in a promotional video for a game called 'Acid Ghost'
Eminem is rumoured to be promoting a new computer game for the Wii U gaming console, the successor to the Wii.
The rapper will apparently appear in a video advertising the game Acid Ghost, which will be unveiled at the E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, reports Go Nintendo. The conference takes place June 4-7.
Go Nintendo writes that Eminem allegedly plays the computer game in the video, which is currently in post production. The game is aimed at ‘older gamers’.
Meanwhile, Southpaw, the film which was set to see Eminem return to the big screen for the first time in over a decade, has been put on hold as the rapper has decided to work on new music. The film was due to be the rapper’s first since his semi-autobiographical flick 8 Mile and, according to the synopsis, is about a boxer who must overcome misfortune to get back to the top.
The project had already had several setbacks, including being dropped by DreamWorks, but seemed to be back on track and its producers had applied to receive incentives of just under $9 million (£5.6 million) from local government to allow the film to be shot in Eminem’s native Michigan.
However, the project has now been put on hold and Eminem’s spokesman has confirmed that the reason for this is that the rapper has decided to “focus on music”.
Eminem released his seventh studio album ‘Recovery’ in 2010 and last year collaborated with rapper Royce da 5’9′ to form a new duo named Bad Meets Evil. They released their debut EP ‘Hell: The Sequel’ last year.
