'Lose Yourself' proves too costly for musical series
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has snubbed plans to use a track by Eminem for the show after the rapper’s record label demanded $200,000 (£126,000).
The musical series was set to feature the 2002 chart topper ‘Lose Yourself’ but the song was pulled after Aftermath Entertainment demanded a huge fee for the rights.
“We couldn’t do it because the episode would’ve been so over budget,” Murphy told the Hollywoodreporter.com.
The snub comes after the Glee creator got into a spat with Kings Of Leon earlier this week after the band refused to let the show feature ‘Use Somebody’ in one of the musical’s episodes.
