EMINEM AND MANSON FIND ANOTHER ‘WAY’

Eminem's 'The Way I Am' gets the rock treatment...

EMINEM and MARILYN MANSON have recorded a heavy metal duet of ‘THE WAY I AM’, produced by members of NINE INCH NAILS, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

The track features in its original form on the Eminem album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’. The song has already been released as a single by Eminem, but a new, guitar based version was recorded by the pair in the US in recent weeks.

Manson plays lead guitar and adds vocals to the track, with sources close to the rocker saying the vocal split is “roughly 50-50%”. The song has been produced by an undisclosed member of Nine Inch Nails, although it is not thought singer Trent Reznor, who owns Nothing Records, Manson‘s label, was involved with the project.

An official spokesperson for Marilyn Manson denied that the song will feature on the soundtrack to the film ‘From Hell’, which NME.COM revealed Manson has been approached to score. Instead, the track will feature on a reissue of ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’, which will also include instrumental versions of album tracks on a second CD. The record is released on August 20.

Speculation continues to mount that Eminem and Manson will appear on stage together at this year’s Carling Weekend Festivals in Leeds and Reading over the August Bank holiday weekend (August 24-26).

Manson joined Eminem onstage in Germany to perform a version of ‘The Way I Am’ recently, and he also appears in the video to the ‘The Way I Am’ single.
