SLIM CHANCE FOR UK FESTIVALS!

The star is expected to confirm appearances in Reading, Leeds and Glasgow very soon...

EMINEM‘s rumoured appearances at festivals in the UK this summer should be clarified within the next fortnight, NME.COM has learned.

It had been claimed by the Daily Record newspaper that the rap star was going to headline the Glasgow Green Festival (August 25,26) alongside Travis. As previously announced on NME.COM, Eminem is almost certain to headline the Reading and Leeds Carling Weekender (August 24 – 26) and as the two events are promoted by the Mean Fiddler organisation, a Glasgow appearance seemed to make sense.

However, no official line-up will be announced until April 23, the day when Eminem returns to face another court, this time in connection with an alleged assault on an associate of fellow rappers Insane Clown Posse.

Though Eminem is not barred from leaving the US, he must apply for special permission to leave the country, as he has had to do since the start of legal proceedings late last year.

Observers feel that promoters are reluctant to officially confirm his slot until they see the outcome of the latest round of legal action. Eminem pulled out of the Reading Festival at the 11th hour last year and they are wary of a repeat situation.

An official spokesperson for Eminem was not available for comment, neither was a spokesperson for Mean Fiddler.
