17-year-old student David Hurcombe left a suicide note written under the lyrics to the rapper's track 'Rock Bottom'...
EMINEM has been criticised by a coroner investigating the death of a teenager in DEVON on the south coast of ENGLAND.
According to this morning’s Star newspaper (January 24), David Hurcombe, a 17-year-old student, left a suicide note written under the lyrics to the rapper’s track ‘Rock Bottom’, which talks about dying, before he threw himself in front of a train last September.
The song has the lyrics: “When we die we know we’re all going the same way.” Beneath this, David wrote: “Anyway, got to go, miss my train, see y’all in hell.”
Coroner Hamish Turner commented at the inquest: “David wrote that woudn’t it be weird to fall to the bottom of a bottomless pit. He was obviously a bit affected by this. It struck me as pretty miserable stuff. I think the references to death are a bit off.”
A verdict of suicide was recorded.
