Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds narrates 60-second anti-hunger film – watch

Frontman reads Rudyard Kipling's 'If' in short advert

Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari has recorded a spoken-word version of Rudyard Kipling’s famous poem If for use in a new anti-hunger advert.

The clip, which you can see below, features Reynolds reading the poem over the music from Enter Shikari’s song ‘Constellations’ and was created to promote the Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign. The advert, which sees a huge paint fight, was recorded at The Power Of IF youth event in London on February 16 this year.

The Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign urges young people to put an end to hunger across the world by lobbying MPs, stopping big companies dodging tax in poor countries, fairer deals for farmers in famine-affected countries and greater transparency from governments and big companies. Enter Shikari recently hit the headlines after they engaged in a war of words with Foals via Twitter following the NME Awards 2013. The band had criticised Foals’ performance at the ceremony, and the Oxford band returned the insults, labelling Enter Shikari “trampoline jumping twats”.
