Enter Shikari played new material at a raucous South By Southwest show yesterday (March 19) at Emo’s.
The band, who took to the stage late due to a fire alarm, played two new numbers, ‘Step Up’ and ‘Antwerpen’, both set for inclusion on the band’s forthcoming new album, ‘Common Dread’.
The show was rammed, with fans queueing down 6th Street to get in.
The new songs showcase a continuation of the band’s hardcore/techno fusion, with ‘Step Up’ seeing frontman Roughton Reynolds rapping.
The frontman spent a lot of the show in amongst the crowd, leaping off the stage much to the audience’s delight, ending the show with a frenetic rendition of ‘Sorry You’re Not A Winner’.
Enter Shikari played:
‘The Feast’
‘Step Up’
‘No Sweat’
‘Antwerpen’
‘Mothership’
‘Sorry You’re Not A Winner’
