Ex-Marilyn Manson bandmate says Kurt Cobain should “burn in hell” for being a “fucking thief”

Madonna Wayne Gacy posts on social media about similarities between Nirvana hits and Blue Oyster Cult and Killing Joke songs

Ex-Marilyn Manson keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy recently took to social media to tell late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain to “burn in hell” for alleged song theft.

Gacy – aka Pogo, real name Stephen Gregory Bier Jr – was a member in Manson’s band from 1989 to 2007.

According to reports, Gacy recently posted a link to Blue Oyster Cult‘s song ‘Godzilla’ on Facebook, writing in a caption: “Burn in hell Kurt”. He then posted another link to Killing Joke track ‘Eighties’, adding: “And this is why you kill yourself, because you’re a fucking thief.” Gacy’s posts have since been deleted.

The similarities between Nirvana’s seminal hit ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and Blue Oyster Cult’s ‘Godzilla’ have long been noted, as have the similarities between ‘Come As You Are’ and Killing Joke’s ‘Eighties’. Cobain himself acknowledged how his track sounded like the Killing Joke song. You can listen to all four tracks below.

Gacy is alleged to have also posted a series of messages in July, criticising Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain for committing suicide. “Well everything comes with a fucking price,” he reportedly wrote, “and if you can’t handle the rock world, and the depression or drugs or whatever, don’t get into it to start.”

Meanwhile, Marilyn Manson has been criticised by KISS’ Paul Stanley for “trying to get publicity” from Charles Manson’s death.
