‘GLASTONBURY’, KEITH ALLEN’s long-awaited play inspired by the festival of the same name, is finally going out on tour, and will feature sets designed by DAMIEN HIRST.
The play aims to be as close as possible to the spirit of the real Glastonbury without actually being there. ‘Glastonbury’, which has been developed over the past few years, explores the difference between jet-set and new-age lifestyles in the festival environment with a tragi-comic view.
‘Glastonbury’ embarks on a tour of British theatres in October, calling at:
Brighton (Wednesday October 2 to Sunday October 6) Cardiff (Tuesday October 8 to Sunday October 13) Manchester (Tuesday October 15 to Sunday October 20) Birmingham (Tuesday October 22 to Sunday October 27).
Venues are to be confirmed.
Tickets will be available from mid-August and are priced at £15 (£10 concessions). Doors on each night will be at 7pm, with the show at 8pm, and DJs and bands playing from 9.30pm.
