Fat White Family question Kasabian’s rock’n’roll credentials

Frontman Lias Saoudi says Leicester band have "long since had their day."

Fat White Family frontman Lias Saoudi has challenged Kasabian‘s credibility, saying that there is nothing rebellious or countercultural about what the band does.

Speaking to NME about comments made by Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno – namely that the genre needs a “kick up the arse” – Saoudi said he believes the Leicester band have “long since had their day”. He then added that if rock’n’roll were to receive a kick up the arse, Kasabian would “end up out of the building”.
