The Fat White Family offer fans massages and tattoos in funding drive

London band reach out to fans in bid to fund trip to SXSW festival

Fat White Family have asked fans to fund their trip to South By South West and are offering to share music, cook dinner, host a primal scream workshop and even massage fans in return.

The London based band have been invited to play at the annual US music festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas. With no record label to fund the trip, Fat White Family have instead set up a Pledge Music page listing a range of services available to fans and how much they will cost.

Among the services are the chance to have the band visit your house and cook a meal, purchase a 25 track limited edition anthology of rarities and B-sides as well as something described as a “primal scream workshop”. Frontman Lias Saoudi says: “There is no low to which we shall not comfortably stoop; the future of bad taste is in your hands, don’t let it slide through your fingers and mucky your shoes.”
