NME.COM is first to bring you all the news from the dance party of the year...

Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx and SONIQUE were amongst the great and the good in the world of dance who appeared at the sparkling ERICSSON MUZIK AWARDS ceremony in LONDON last night (October 19).

While Basement Jaxx picked up the award for Best Band in front the packed house at the The Arches in the Bishopgate area of the city, Fatboy Slim Norman Cook, there with heavily pregnant wife Zoe Ball, picked up the award for Outstanding Contribution To Dance Music.

However, despite some of the biggest names in dance such as Seb Fontaine – the awards were relatively free from bad behaviour and incident – aside from a brief hiccup which forced Best Producer MJ Cole to repeatedly return to the stage.
