BABYSHAMBLES BRING CHAOS TO GLASTONBURY

And Pete Doherty goes crowd-surfing…

BABYSHAMBLES played a chaotic set on the OTHER STAGE tonight at the GLASTONBURY festival (June 24)- kicking off the first of their two performances at the event.

Arriving 20 minutes late, the band ripped through a storming performance which included the songs ’Killamangiro’, ’Babyshambles’, ’Black Boy Lane’, ’In Love With A Feeling’ and ’Do You Know Me?’.

Playing to a crowd including Kate Moss and The Clash legend and Libertines producer Mick Jones, singer Pete Doherty threw his harmonica into the crowd before crowd-surfing.

Fans scrambled to hoist the star above their heads during what has been one of the most highly anticipated sets of the weekend.

Babyshambles closed their gig with upcoming single ’Fuck Forever’ and then proceeded to topple their drumkit, leaving the stage awash with guitar feedback.

The band are set to play the Leftfield Stage tomorrow at Glastonbury.

Tonight sees The White Stripes headline the Pyramid Stage whilst Fatboy Slim tops the bill on the Other Stage.
