Arrests at Carling Weekend: Leeds festival

Police say they’ve made a small number of arrests at the end of the CARLING WEEKEND: LEEDS FESTIVAL.

A spokesperson for the police has told BBC News that there were “sporadic outbreaks of low-level disorder” after the final bands on Sunday night (August 28).

Most of the arrests were for alleged assault.

The incidents follow a very successful, and relatively trouble free festival.

Three years ago the Leeds leg of the event moved from nearby Temple Newsam after trouble in the campsites.

But since moving to the more rural Bramham Park, there has been a reduction in crime.
