The nu-grunge sensations are a hit at The Carling Weekend...
NINE BLACK ALPS brought back the spirit of NIRVANA to the READING leg of the CARLING WEEKEND today (August 27).
All weekend the spirit of the early 90s has been hanging in the air, with the return of Pixies and Dinosuar Jr, and ex-Nirvana star Dave Grohl’s appearance with Foo Fighters.
And NBA wowed the grunge devotees too young to have seen Nirvana back in 1991 and 1992 with an inspired set on the Radio 1/NME Stage this afternoon.
Highlight of the mosh and stagedive-friendly set were singles ’Unsatisfied’ and ’Cosmopolitan’.
And the band caused even more mayhem when they appeared in the NME Signing Tent shortly after their set, with hundreds of fans turning out to greet their heroes.
