JET gave fans a sneak preview of their eagerly-awaited second album at V FESTIVAL in CHELMSFORD this afternoon.

The band debuted three new tracks, including ’Bring It On Back’, from the upcoming follow-up to 2003’s ’Get Born’ during their Main Stage set.

The other songs remained unnamed, though one featured the lyrics “stand up, sit back down”.

Jet’s performance marked the first time in over twelve months the band have played in the UK and singer Nic Cester told the audience: “It’s been about a year since we’ve been here so we’ve got no intention of leaving here until there’s a party”.

The Aussie rockers then launched into a crowd-pleasing run-through of ’Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’.

Other highlights in the triumphant set included opener ’Cold Hard Bitch’, the singles ’Rollover DJ’ and ’Look What You’ve Done’ and ’Get What You Need’, ’Get Me Outta Here’ and ’Take It Or Leave’.
