And there's unlikely to be a repeat of the Janet Jackson breast-flashing is there now Sir Paul?...
Earlier this year Janet Jackson sparked off national outrage when during her half-time performance with Justin Timberlake, when she suffered an infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’, leaving her breast exposed. The incident prompted 542,000 complaints and cost TV network CBS a $550,000 fine by watchdogs.
Organisers hope that this year’s choice of performer will prove more risk free. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said: “We’ve looked at all facets of the show including talent selection, song selection and costume selection, to ensure we wouldn’t have a repeat of what happened last year.”
Paul McCartney said: “There’s nothing bigger than being asked to perform at the Super Bowl. We’re looking forward to rocking the millions at home and in the stadium.”
The game takes place on February 6. Paul McCartney is currently recording a new album with producer Nigel Godrich.
