The singer's arrival sparks talk of a last-minute guest slot...
PJ Harvey has arrived at GLASTONBURY, sparking rumours that she is to make a surprise appearance over the weekend.
The singer has been keeping a low profile between completing promotion for her Mercury Music Prize winning album ‘Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea’ and commencing work on her new record.
A slot on the Pyramid Stage for Sunday is currently empty as the Super Furry Animals pulled out of the event at the 11th hour due to problems finding a sound engineer.
Harvey, who lives nearby,. has so far kept tight-lipped since her arrival earlier this afternoon. She is known to be a fan of the event, and has performed on numerous occasions in the past. Also, Michael Eavis has promised some “surprises” for ticketholders.
Other bands are slowly making their way to the festival site. Stars spotted so far include Lostprophets, Ash, Bush, Coldplay, Nelly Furtado and DJ John Peel. Keith Allen, an ever-present figure at Glastonbury, is, of course, backstage.
