HIVES ALBUM DETAILS REVEALED!

Speaking at V Festival, the band give NME.COM a progress report...

Hives have arrived onsite at the V FESTIVAL CHELMSFORD and have hinted they’ll be playing new material during their late afternoon MAIN STAGE slot

The band have been working on their highly anticipated new album at home in Sweden.

Speaking with NME.COM in the NME Signing Tent, frontman Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist said the band have titles for tracks on the follow-up to ‘Your New Favourite Band’, but aren’t revealing them so they don’t “spoil the surprise”.

“We might be playing some new songs,” he said. “We have a few song titles but I wouldn’t want to say anything before the record comes out because it kind of spoils the surprise.”

Almqvist says fans can expect the album within the next six months.

“It depends on the record company, but early next year, like January or February probably. We’re looking forward to having new material after all these years.”
