Fever Ray's 'When I Grow Up' premieres on NME.COM

Fever Ray‘s new video is able to watch now exclusively on NME.COM.

The clip for new single ‘When I Grow Up’ can be watched below.

Speaking about the concept, a spooky affair featuring a 14 year-old girl from Copenhagen and a tempestuous swimming pool, director Martin de Thurrah explained: “The initial idea was about something coming out of water – something which was about to take form – a state turning into something new. And a double headed creature not deciding which way to turn.”

He added: “But the idea had to take a simpler form, to let the song grow by itself. I remembered a photo I took in Croatia two years ago of a swimming pool with its shining blue color in a grey foggy autumn landscape.”

Fever Ray is the side project of The Knife‘s Karin Andersson, and they are set to release their self-titled debut album on March 30.
