South California post-hardcore band call it a day
Finch have announced that they are splitting up.
The band, who formed in 2001, have issued a statement on their official website, Officialfinch.com, announcing their break-up.
They explained that they were “going insane trying to achieve the common goal of writing our new record” and that they “apologise deeply for letting you down. Please forgive us and please keep listening to Finch“.
The band released two albums, with their debut ‘What It Is To Burn’ released in 2002 and follow-up ‘Say Hello To Sunshine’ arriving in 2005.
This is the second time the band have split – they first parted ways in 2006 only to reform the following year.
“It’s comforting to know that we are all still friends,” they added. “Together floating in the unknown. We want to thank you for your undying love and support of our band.”
As a “parting gift” the band have posted two new songs for fans to download at Finchmusic.bandcamp.com.
