Folk duo will take their new album 'The Lion's Roar' around the UK in November
First Aid Kit have announced details of their biggest UK tour to date.
The Swedish folk duo will play four shows in November, kicking off with their biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on November 20. They will then play dates in Manchester and Glasgow, before they round off the tour at O2 Academy Bristol on November 27.
The duo, made up of sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, are touring in support of their second album ‘The Lion’s Roar’, which came out in January. The pair recorded the album in Omaha in the United States with producer Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes. Conor Oberst also makes an appearance.
A full band album, ‘The Lion’s Roar’, features the pair’s father Benkt on bass, Mattias Bergqvist on drums and Mogis and Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes also playing a host of instruments.
The album is follow up to 2010’s ‘The Big Black And The Blue’ sees the duo collaborating with The Felice Brothers on ‘King of the World’.
